- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gently fold in the vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a circle with a slight indentation in the center.
- Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the meringue cool completely inside.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the cooled meringue and top with sliced strawberries before serving.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For best results, assemble just before serving to keep the meringue crisp.
