Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk plus more to thin if needed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small garlic clove minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
  2. Step 2: Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce, whisking to combine.
  3. Step 3: Stir in minced garlic until fully incorporated.
  4. Step 4: Fold in all fresh herbs (chives, dill, parsley) gently.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle in onion powder, salt, and pepper, then whisk thoroughly.
  6. Step 6: Taste and adjust seasoning - add more buttermilk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  7. Step 7: Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Step 8: Stir well before using, adding a splash of buttermilk if dressing thickens in fridge.

Notes

For best flavor, let dressing chill 2+ hours. Fresh herbs make all the difference, but 1 tsp dried herbs can substitute each tablespoon fresh in a pinch.
