Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch pie pan or baking dish.
- Brown ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until beef is cooked through.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard to the beef mixture and cook for 1 minute more.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie pan and top with shredded cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, eggs, and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese layer.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for beef if desired. Leftovers keep in the fridge for 3 days and reheat well in the microwave. For extra flavor, add diced pickles or bacon bits to the beef mixture.
