Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Wash strawberries gently and pat completely dry with paper towels. Any moisture will prevent chocolate from adhering properly.
- Step 2: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside in a cool area of your kitchen.
- Step 3: Melt dark chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Step 4: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing on prepared baking sheet.
- Step 5: Refrigerate dipped strawberries for 15 minutes until chocolate sets completely.
- Step 6: Melt white chocolate with remaining coconut oil using same microwave method until smooth and creamy.
- Step 7: Transfer white chocolate to a piping bag or zip-lock bag with corner snipped off, then drizzle decoratively over set strawberries.
- Step 8: Sprinkle with chopped pistachios or mini chocolate chips while white chocolate is still wet, then refrigerate for final 10 minutes.
- Step 9: Dust lightly with powdered sugar just before serving for an elegant finishing touch.
Notes
Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Bring to room temperature 10 minutes before serving for best texture. Choose strawberries that are firm and completely ripe for optimal sweetness.
