Ingredients
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, pear or apple juice, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the bowl and mix well to coat the beef with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Remove the beef from the pan and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve the Korean Beef Bulgogi hot with steamed rice, kimchi, and your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
Notes
For a more authentic taste, use a food processor to puree a small peeled and cored pear or apple to make the juice. You can also use store-bought pear or apple juice. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
