Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup hot honey or 1/3 cup honey + 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Flaky sea salt for finishing

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Toss prepared sprouts with oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange cut-side down in single layer.
  3. Roast for 18-22 minutes until deeply browned and crispy at edges.
  4. While sprouts roast, warm honey (with red pepper flakes if using) until fluid but not boiling.
  5. Transfer roasted sprouts to serving bowl. Drizzle with hot honey and vinegar, tossing gently to coat.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of flaky salt. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, don't overcrowd the pan - use two sheets if needed. Adjust honey heat level to taste. Great with crumbled bacon or goat cheese as garnish.
