Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard until smooth and combined.
  5. Place salmon fillets on prepared baking sheet and brush generously with half the honey garlic butter sauce.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately brush with remaining sauce, then garnish with green onions and parsley.
  8. Serve immediately while hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For best results, choose salmon fillets of equal thickness. Leftover salmon keeps in the refrigerator for 3 days and can be flaked into salads or pasta. You can substitute maple syrup for honey if preferred.
