Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup guava nectar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup guava nectar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract, then alternate adding dry ingredients with guava nectar and milk.
  5. Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and guava nectar.
  7. Frost cooled cake layers and serve.

Notes

Store cake in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For extra moisture, brush cake layers with guava nectar before frosting.
