Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Step 3: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken skin-side down and cook 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 4: Flip chicken and cook 4 more minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Step 5: Pour sauce over chicken, turning thighs to coat. Reduce heat to medium-low.
- Step 6: Simmer 10-12 minutes, basting occasionally, until sauce thickens and chicken reaches 165°F internally.
- Step 7: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, don't move the chicken for the first 4 minutes of cooking. Serve over rice to soak up the delicious sauce!
