Full English Breakfast (Classic & Filling)

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 sausages
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 medium tomatoes halved
  • 1 can 400g baked beans
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 black pudding slices optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and place a large baking tray inside.
  2. Step 2: In a frying pan over medium heat, add the vegetable oil and cook the sausages for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Step 3: Add the bacon to the pan and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove both the sausages and bacon and place them in the oven to keep warm.
  4. Step 4: In the same pan, add the mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
  5. Step 5: Place the halved tomatoes, cut side up, on the tray in the oven. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Step 6: In a small saucepan, heat the baked beans over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Step 7: In another frying pan, melt the butter and fry the eggs until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
  8. Step 8: Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  9. Step 9: If using, fry the black pudding slices for 2 minutes on each side until crispy.
  10. Step 10: Assemble the breakfast on plates, dividing the ingredients evenly, and serve hot.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, skip the bacon and sausages and add more mushrooms and tomatoes.
