- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced peaches gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
