Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
- Step 3: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Step 4: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.
- Step 5: Shape each piece into a bunny by forming a ball for the body and smaller balls for the head and ears. Attach the pieces gently using water to help them stick.
- Step 6: Place the bunnies on a lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and press raisins into the heads for eyes.
- Step 7: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
Notes
For extra sweetness, drizzle with a simple glaze made of powdered sugar and milk after baking.
