Crockpot Creamy Taco Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Tortillas or rice for serving

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Step 2: Sprinkle taco seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. Step 3: Pour chicken broth and salsa over the chicken.
  4. Step 4: Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.
  5. Step 5: Remove chicken and shred it using two forks.
  6. Step 6: Return shredded chicken to the crockpot.
  7. Step 7: Stir in cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and sour cream until melted and creamy.
  8. Step 8: Add chopped cilantro and mix well.
  9. Step 9: Serve warm with tortillas, rice, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra spice, use hot salsa or add diced jalapeƱos. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
