Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for topping

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  4. Step 4: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Step 5: Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
  6. Step 6: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 35 minutes or until the center is set. Let cool completely in the pan.
  8. Step 8: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a twist, add a swirl of fruit jam or lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture before baking.
