Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Equipment

  • saucepan
  • wooden spoon or spatula
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • grater (for Parmesan)

Method

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese and continue to cook until the cheese has melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and lemon juice if using. Stir well to combine.
  5. Serve immediately over pasta, shrimp, or chicken.

Notes

You can adjust the spice level by varying the amount of Cajun seasoning. For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne. This sauce pairs well with fettuccine, penne, or as a topper for grilled chicken or shrimp.
