Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Step 2: In another bowl, combine cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Set aside.
- Step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
- Step 4: In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Step 5: Add broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they become vibrant green and tender-crisp.
- Step 6: Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir to coat.
- Step 7: Add the cornstarch slurry to the pan and mix well. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- Step 8: Drizzle with sesame oil, stir, and serve hot with steamed rice.
Notes
For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes. You can substitute chicken for beef if preferred.
