- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through, then transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, then add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Add the broccoli to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until tender but still crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil, then pour the sauce over the broccoli and stir to combine.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine with the broccoli and sauce.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste, then serve hot over steamed rice.
Notes
You can customize this recipe to your taste by adding other vegetables, such as bell peppers or carrots, or by using different seasonings, such as hoisin sauce or sriracha. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
