Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
- Step 3: Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.
- Step 4: Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 5: Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
- Step 6: Whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Step 7: Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Step 8: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 9: Serve sauce over cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra richness, use full-fat sour cream. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3 days - the sauce thickens when chilled, so add a splash of broth when reheating.
