2 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon sea salt, plus extra for topping

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.

2. Continue to cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage). Remove from heat.

3. Add chocolate chips and stir until smooth and fully melted.

4. Mix in vanilla extract and sea salt. Stir to combine evenly.

5. Pour mixture into a lined baking pan and spread evenly. Let cool at room temperature.

6. Refrigerate until firm, then scoop and roll into small balls.

7. Sprinkle tops with extra sea salt and store in an airtight container.

Use good quality chocolate for best results. Store in fridge for up to 10 days or freeze for longer storage. Bring to room temperature before serving for ideal texture.
