This Christmas Chai Latte is a cozy, café-style drink made with strong black tea, warm holiday spices, and creamy milk melted with white chocolate for a sweet, festive mug you can make in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose black tea

1 cup water

1 cup milk (dairy, oat, almond, or your favorite)

2 tablespoons white chocolate chips or syrup

1 tablespoon brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

Small pinch of nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Crushed candy cane or extra cinnamon, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle simmer, then add the tea and steep for 4–5 minutes.

2. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea, then add milk and warm over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

3. Whisk in white chocolate, sweetener, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, and vanilla until dissolved and fragrant.

4. Froth with a milk frother or whisk vigorously to create foam, then pour into mugs.

5. Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and crushed candy cane if desired.

6. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice to your preference, then serve warm.

Notes

Use whole milk for the creamiest latte, or oat milk for a rich dairy-free option.

White chocolate syrup works great if you want it extra smooth.

For a stronger tea flavor, steep the tea a minute longer or use an extra tea bag.

Make it ahead: mix and refrigerate, then reheat gently and froth before serving.
