Rich Coffee Truffles combine luxurious dark chocolate with bold coffee for an indulgent bite-sized treat that’s simple to make yet deeply flavorful.
200g high-quality dark chocolate
100ml heavy cream
2 tablespoons brewed strong coffee
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Optional: pinch of sea salt or dash of vanilla extract
1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.
2. Heat heavy cream until just simmering and pour over chocolate; let sit 1 minute.
3. Stir until smooth, then add brewed coffee and butter; mix to combine.
4. Chill mixture for 2 hours until firm.
5. Scoop into balls and roll between hands.
6. Roll truffles in cocoa powder until coated.
7. Chill until firm and ready to serve.
For best results, let truffles sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving. Store in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to two months.
