Puff Pastry Twists with Blackberry Jam and Goat Cheese offer a delicious balance of sweet and tangy flavors wrapped in flaky, golden pastry.

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

1/3 cup blackberry jam

4 oz goat cheese, softened

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface, ensuring it’s smooth and free of creases.

3. Spread the goat cheese evenly across the entire surface of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

4. Dollop blackberry jam over the goat cheese, gently spreading it to cover the cheese layer.

5. Fold the puff pastry in half over the filling and gently press the edges to seal.

6. Use a sharp knife to cut the filled pastry into 1-inch wide strips.

7. Take each strip and twist it gently before placing it onto the prepared baking sheet.

8. Brush the twists with the beaten egg and sprinkle sugar on top if you desire extra sweetness.

9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.

10. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy your puff pastry twists with blackberry jam and goat cheese!
