This Holiday Lemon Drop is a festive twist on the classic—bright lemon, a blush of cranberry, and a crisp sugar rim, shaken icy-cold and finished with cranberries and rosemary for a party-ready cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz vodka (plain or citrus)

1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

0.75 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened or low-sugar)

0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)

Granulated sugar (for the rim)

Ice cubes (for shaking)

Fresh cranberries (for garnish)

Fresh rosemary sprigs or lemon twist (for garnish)

Optional: splash of prosecco or club soda (for a sparkling version)

Instructions

1. Rim a chilled coupe or martini glass by running a lemon wedge around the edge, then dip into sugar until evenly coated. Place the glass in the freezer while you mix.

2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add vodka, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and simple syrup.

3. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold.

4. Strain into the prepared glass, keeping the sugar rim intact.

5. Optional: top with a small splash of chilled prosecco or club soda for a sparkling version.

6. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig or a lemon twist. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the cleanest flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the simple syrup.

Chill the glass well so the sugar rim stays crisp.

Make it sparkling by topping with prosecco or club soda just before serving.
