These Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls are a tangy, citrusy delight wrapped in a soft, fluffy dough—perfect for holiday mornings or cozy brunches.

Ingredients

Scale

2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 and 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup warm milk

1/4 cup melted butter

1 large egg

Zest of 2 oranges

1 cup fresh or dried cranberries

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Stir well to blend.

2. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.

4. Let the dough rest in a greased bowl, covered, for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.

5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, then spread the brown sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and cranberries over it.

6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into evenly sized rolls. Place them in a baking dish.

7. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

8. Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and orange juice.

9. Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

You can use fresh or dried cranberries, but if using dried, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes before adding. To make ahead, refrigerate shaped rolls overnight and allow to rise before baking. For a twist, add white chocolate chips or chopped walnuts.
