A comforting, creamy one‑pot soup that captures the flavour of a cheeseburger in every spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (14.5‑oz) can diced tomatoes

4 cups beef broth

2 cups elbow macaroni

1 cup milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional toppings: chopped parsley, crumbled bacon

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and add the ground beef.

2. Cook until browned; remove and set aside.

3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the same pot; sauté until onions are translucent.

4. Stir in the diced tomatoes.

5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.

6. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente.

7. Return the browned beef to the pot.

8. Stir in the milk, then slowly add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring constantly until melted.

9. Season with salt and pepper.

10. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or crumbled bacon if desired.

Notes

Shred your own cheese for smoother melt.

Don’t overcook the macaroni — it will soften slightly after off‑heat.

If the soup thickens too much after resting, stir in a splash of broth or milk before reheating.
