Chipotle Garlic Sauce with Sour Cream is a bold, smoky, creamy condiment perfect for tacos, grilled meats, veggies, and more. Made in minutes, this sauce packs flavor and elevates any dish.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup sour cream (or Mexican crema)

34 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

2 tbsp adobo sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh lime juice

2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

¼ tsp ground cumin

½ tsp garlic salt

Black pepper to taste

Optional: ¼ cup mayonnaise for extra creaminess

Instructions

1. In a blender or food processor, combine sour cream, chipotle peppers, and adobo sauce.

2. Add garlic, lime juice, and cilantro. Pulse until desired consistency—smooth or slightly chunky.

3. Add cumin, garlic salt, and pepper. Blend again briefly to combine.

4. Adjust seasoning as needed. If too thick, add lime juice or water for a drizzle-friendly texture.

5. Transfer to a jar or bowl. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

6. Stir well before using. Use on tacos, burgers, grilled meats, or veggies.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays and thaw as needed.
